Hydroponic Farm Tour

green-line-growersWould you believe someone is farming in the old Bay State Taxi garage on Waldo Street?  Well, not farming as we are used to thinking of it, but hydroponic farming. Bobbie Zuker and Chris Mutty have been farming in three shipping containers housed in the garage since early spring 2016.  They grow multiple varieties of lettuces, kale, basil, radishes, kohlrabi, carrots and promise to tackle much more in the future. The farm is connected to the small market Brookline Grown on Pleasant Street.  Every Monday at 3:30 pm and Tuesdays at 6:30 pm free tours of the farm are offered.  To quote their website “Simply show up at Brookline Grown and we’ll take you to see our hydroponic farm.”
