The February 1st Age Friendly Cities TV (AFC-TV) program will kick off a series dedicated to the subject of senior housing in Age-Friendly Brookline. Topics will include key factors influencing decisions about where to live as we get older, specific examples of housing options available to seniors in Brookline, and resources available to seniors exploring senior housing in Brookline. Guest Len Fishman, Director of the Gerontology Institute at UMass Boston’s John W. McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies, is a nationally recognized leader in the field of aging policy. Len was CEO of Hebrew Senior Life for 13 years. Under his leadership, the 110-year-old organization experienced tremendous growth, expanding to nine locations in Greater Boston and establishing an affiliation with Harvard Medical School. It is New England’s largest nonprofit provider of senior housing and health care.
