Free Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide Detectors for Seniors

The Brookline Fire Department is implementing a Senior Fire Safety and Smoke Alarm Program, funded by a FEMA grant. Firefighters will go to the residence of those 65 and older and install free smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. BrooklineCAN congratulates the Fire Department on initiating this program as additional support for the  expansion of senior services outlined in Brookline’s designation as an Age-Friendly City by the World Health Organization.
