Tevye’s Daughters—Concert on May 14

A Besere Velt, the Yiddish Chorus of Boston’s Workmen’s Circle circleboston.org, collaborates with the internationally acclaimed Klezmer group, The Klezmatics, to present “Tevye’s Daughters: Journeys to a Better World” on Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 pm at Temple Ohabei Shalom, 1187 Beacon Street, Brookline.   The concert will celebrate Yiddish writer Sholem Aleichem, the mastermind behind “Fiddler on the Roof” Tevye’s iconic legacy, on the occasion of the hundred-year anniversary of the author’s passing.  This musical journey will explore how the imagined progeny of Tevye the Dairyman continue to break with tradition, becoming activists and leaders for a just world.  For further information contact: info@circleboston.org or 617-566-6281 and to purchase tickets on go to http://tevye.brownpapertickets.com/.
