Brookline Emergency Preparedness Buddies

This program matches trained Brookline Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteers with Brookline residents who may require assistance preparing for and responding to emergency situations such as a blizzard or a heat wave.  The volunteer comes to your home to learn of your needs and help you create your own emergency preparedness program.  If there is an emergency, the volunteer will be in contact with you before the emergency when possible, and after to make sure you are well. Brookline residents eligible to participate include those over the age of 65 and adults with disabilities; the program is focused on those who live alone and have little or no family support.  For more information, contact Cheryl Snyder at csnyder@brooklinema.gov or 617-730-2656.
